Hey! Here are some illustrations for a collaborative illustrated bible, published by B&H kids. The publishers invited illustrators from all over the world to contribute, creating a really wonderful mix of styles and sensibilities. I got tapped to do the temptation in the wilderness story, which was an exciting challenge. Specifically, trying to figure out how to depict Satan in a way that was menacing, but not over the top for kids, took a lot of work. This was also a chance to explore some stylistic opportunities. I did the final line work in pencil, colored it photoshop, then added a lot of scanned textures. Process below:
